Atonement was once gained by the sacrifice of a prized animal. It showed that the guilt and the sinful deed had been dealt with. However, the continued slaughter of valuable animals would not change the heart of the people.
Rather than being burdened with guilt, we can seek forgiveness through repentance. This short video reflects on this life-giving act and the forgiveness that follows.
